Motilal Oswal Asset Management Company (MOAMC) has crossed the ₹2 lakh crore milestone in Assets Under Management (AUM) across its Mutual Fund, Portfolio Management Services (PMS) and Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) businesses. The milestone was achieved as of August 7, 2026, marking a significant expansion in the asset manager's overall scale and highlighting the continued growth of its investment-management platform.
PMS & AIF Continue to Strengthen the Alternatives Platform
While Mutual Funds remain a significant contributor to MOAMC’s overall AUM, its PMS and AIF businesses form an important part of its alternatives platform, catering to investors seeking more differentiated and actively managed investment solutions. MOAMC’s broader asset-management platform has expanded considerably in recent years; AUM across Mutual Funds, PMS and AIFs increased from ₹1.5 lakh crore in July 2025 to over ₹2 lakh crore in August 2026. The milestone is particularly notable for the alternatives segment, as PMS and AIF form an important part of MOAMC's asset-management franchise alongside its Mutual Fund business.
Motilal Oswal reported over ₹35,000 crore (as of May 2026) in combined AUM across its PMS and AIF businesses, underscoring the growing contribution of alternatives to its overall asset-management platform.
Strong Growth in Investor Participation
During FY2026, MOAMC added 56.08 lakh SIPs and recorded an all-time high SIP inflow of ₹16,479 crore.
The AMC also expanded its Mutual Fund product portfolio during the year, launching 18 passive mutual funds and five active mutual funds, totaling 23 new fund launches during FY26.
With the continued expansion of its PMS and AIF businesses, Motilal Oswal AMC is strengthening its presence across India’s growing alternatives investment landscape. The increase in alternatives AUM reflects the rising demand for differentiated investment strategies among HNIs, family offices and other sophisticated investors.
The ₹2 lakh crore milestone also highlights the growing scale of asset managers operating across Mutual Funds, PMS and AIFs, as investors increasingly look beyond traditional investment products for specialised and actively managed solutions.
For the PMS and AIF industry, Motilal Oswal AMC’s latest milestone underscores the growing significance of alternatives within the broader asset-management ecosystem and the increasing role of large asset managers in expanding access to sophisticated investment strategies.
