Gaurav Somani holds an MBA from FMS Delhi, B.Tech from IIIT Hyderabad, cleared CFA Level 2, and is an FRM. Gaurav has been investing in Indian equity markets since 2011 — starting with his own capital and building his entire wealth through compounding over 15 years before managing external money. His career spans banking at Barclays and ICICI Bank, Flipkart during its early hypergrowth years, and entrepreneurship — founding KountMoney, a fintech lending marketplace. A full-time investor since 2017, Gaurav founded Korman Capital in December 2023 to put his learnings to work managing external capital. Every principle he follows has come from hard knocks in the markets — learned through his own capital, not textbooks. Outside investing, Gaurav is an avid marathon runner, swimmer, and an amateur tennis player.
