Mr Rohit Karan

Mr. Rohit Karan joined ICICI Prudential AMC Ltd (IPAMC) as Associate Vice President in the Investments team for Alternate products. He has over 12 years of experience in Indian equities and fixed income markets. At IPAMC his role includes investment research, analyzing macro and devising investment strategies for equity-oriented funds.
Rohit graduated from IIT Kanpur with a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering in 2007 and completed his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad in 2009. Since then he has been in the Investment management business managing Equity derivative and Fixed Income portfolios. He has vast experience in Quantitative modelling and Macroeconomics, which has become a core part of his experience through the years.
From 2010 to 2015, Rohit worked with Reliance Industries Limited in their corporate treasury as a fixed income portfolio manager. He traded Indian Government Bonds and Interest Rates Swaps and consistently outperformed targeted returns. He was briefly with Indusind Bank as a fixed income trader and in DSP BlackRock Mutual Fund from 2016 till 2018 in a similar role.
He joined Franklin Templeton as a Senior Equity Derivatives trader in 2018. He generated trade ideas based on fundamental, quantitative and technical analysis of derivative markets.
At IPAMC, Rohit has been a key member of the investment team for Long Short strategies for over a year. He is also the fund manager for the ICICI Prudential Enhanced Dynamic Equity Fund.
