With Easing Inflationary Pressure, PMS Performance Surges in July 2022

Amidst the latest earnings downgrade of India Inc., July month saw a surge in the monthly returns of PMS schemes as the inflationary pressure is easing in the Indian economy. 166 of the 283 PMS schemes in the PMS Bazaar radar outperformed NIFTY and only one scheme out of them produced a negative monthly return in July 2022.

The Focused Fund of Unique Asset Management LLP occupies 3rd place, yielding a monthly return of 16.59% in July 2022.

The Small-cap category recorded an average monthly return of 9.75% in July 2022. 11 out of 15 PMS strategies monitored in this category outperformed BSE Small cap, which stood at 9.16%.



The Growth Strategy of Molecule Ventures LLP tops this category, yielding a monthly return of 13.31%. Followed by it, we have the Small & Microcap Strategy of Sageone investment advisors LLP (11.86%) and the Emerging Giants Strategy of Ambit Investment Advisors (11.07%), constituting the top 3 performers in this category. 



Small & Midcap:
The small & mid-cap category yielded an average monthly return of 8.50% in July 2022. 

The SSP Strategy of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd tops this list with a monthly return of 12.09%. Followed by it we have the TENX Portfolio Strategy of Ambit Investment Advisors (11.87%) and the AAA Emerging Giants Strategy of AlfAccurate Advisors (11.56%), constituting the top 3 performers in this category.



Mid-cap: 
The Mid-cap category recorded an average monthly return of 9.77% in July 2022. Only 4 out of 21 PMS strategies monitored in this category outperformed NIFTY MIDCAP 100, which stood at 12.03%.
 

The Smart Beta Portfolio Strategy of Abans Investment Managers tops this list, yielding a monthly return of 15.90%. Followed by it, we have the Midcap Portfolio Strategy of Renaissance Investment Managers  (12.61%) and the PEARLS Strategy of Emkay Investment Managers (12.59%), constituting the top-3 strategies of this category. 



Large & Mid-cap:
The Large & Mid-cap category recorded an average monthly return of 9.02% in July 2022. 

The Freedom Portfolio Strategy of Geojit Financial Services Limited tops this category with a monthly return of 11.79%. Followed by it, we have the Large & Midcap Strategy of Care Portfolio Managers (11.60%) and the Value Equity+ Strategy of LIC Mutual fund Asset Management Ltd (10.35%), constituting the top 3 strategies of this category.



Large-cap: 
The Large-cap category recorded an average monthly return of 9.48% in July 2022. 15 out of 22 strategies monitored under this category outperformed NIFTY, which stood at 8.73%.  
 

In this category, the Coffee Can Strategy of Ambit Investment Advisors tops the Large Cap Category with a monthly return of 13.34%. Followed by it, we have The Large Cap Focused Fund Strategy of Varanium Capital Advisors (12.80%) and the Large Cap Strategy of ICICI Prudential Asset Management (12.34%), constituting the top 3 strategies of this category. 



Multi-cap:
The Multi-cap category recorded an average monthly return of 9.35% in July 2022. 76 out of 146 PMS strategies monitored under this category outperformed BSE 500, which stood at 9.54%. 
 
The Lake Water Strategy of Lake Water Advisors tops the list with a monthly return of 17.43%. Followed by it, we have the Long-Term Equity with Concentrated Portfolio Strategy of Purnartha Investment Advisers Private Limited (16.65%) and Consistent Compounders Strategy of Marcellus Investment Managers Pvt. Ltd (14.42%), constituting the top 3 performers of this category. 
 


Thematic investment:
The Thematic category recorded an average monthly return of 9.02% in July 2022

The Kings of Capital Strategy of Marcellus Investment Managers Pvt. Ltd tops the list, recording monthly returns of 13.51%. Followed by it, we have Alphabots India Prime Strategy of Right Horizons (13.30%) and the Indianext Portfolio Strategy of Renaissance Investment Managers  (10.52%) constituting the top 3 strategies of this category.
